Dr. Hawkins

Dr. Alex Hawkins was raised in Richmond, Va. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University and also is a graduate of VCU’s School of Dentistry. Near the beginning of his dental studies, he traveled to an underserved Honduras village on a short-term medical mission trip. It was there that he developed a passion for helping patients who have acute dental needs. Following graduation from dental school, he moved from Richmond to Lynchburg, Va., where he practiced in a large family practice for 3 years. He is recently certified in Invisalign and is eager to continue his education in newer dental technologies as a part of Neibauer Dental Care’s team. Dr. Hawkins is happy to be back in the Richmond area, and lives with his wife, Amy, and their two children, Micah and Laura. He has recently taken up tennis recreationally, having enjoyed ping-pong for years. He is also a die-hard VCU men’s basketball fan. Go Rams!!!
